DEF IS IN BRNO FOR 2 MORE DAYS

You can visit DEF in Brno till the 22. of April. The festival thakes place in cinema Scala, see theprogram and list films.

The ECHOES of DEF will take place in this cities and days: 
Boskovice (23. - 25. 4. 2014), Havířov (24. - 27. 4. 2014), Hradec Králové (23. - 25. 4. 2014), Jablonec nad Nisou (23. - 27. 4. 2014) and Plzeň (23. - 24. 4. 2014)

MEETING WITH ROBERTO CUETO

Professor Roberto Cueto, film theory author and one of the most experienced film festival dramaturges will meet film professional and enthusiasts at a seminar on April 15th at noon in Europan House in Prague. The seminar is co-organized by the Czech Film Center. More about the event could be found here.

THIS YEAR'S GUEST LIST WAS PRESENTED ON THE PRESS CONFERENCE ON 31.3.2014

The press conference took place in Nostic Palace, the Czech Ministry of Culture, where the festival and it's programe were introduced to the press. At the the speaker's table were present: Stephen Oxley - director of the British Concil in the Czech Republic, Jan Michal - head of the Representation of European Union in the Czech Republic, and Zdeněk Blaha, the dramaturg of DEF. Mr. Blaha spoke about this years film sections  and films.  Detail infromation about the press conference could be find in the press release.

The names of this year's guests were mention on the press conference for the first time: On the festive opening will be present: Stephen Brown, the director of Irish film The Sea. He will be also present on the screening of his film on Saturday, 12. 4., 8:30pm in Cinema Světozor. Another festival guest will be Kiril Stankov, the director of Bulgarian film July. He also agreed to present the projection of his debut on 10. 4. at 5pm i Cinema Lucerna. Bruno Forzani and Heléne Cattet,  the directors of Belgium thriller  The Strange Colour of Your Bodie's Tears, will visit the festival in it's second half. The Slovak film Velvet terorists will be presented by the director Ivan Ostrochovský and Vladimír Hučín, on of the protagonists.
