Film Therapy: Mental Hygiene at the European Film Days

April 12, 2026

Mental Hygiene has become a fixed part of the Days of European Film programme at Edison Filmhub. Each evening follows a clear format: a carefully selected film screening followed by a discussion led by uncompromising critic Aleš Stuchlý with an invited guest. This year, the section takes the form of a five-course marathon.

Friday evening was dedicated to the death-metal-infused film Wolves. The screening was followed by a discussion with director Jonas Ulrich and producer Nicole Ulrich. The night, charged with musical energy, culminated in a DJ set by Vít Kentusák and Iva 8bitová.

Today, Mental Hygiene continues with The Stranger (François Ozon), followed by a discussion between Aleš Stuchlý and David Čeněk. The programme then moves on with Rietland (Sven Bresser) with Martin Pleštil, and Hen (György Pálfi) with Antonín Tesař.
